LOCATION A short walk will take you down to the beautiful beach at Mullins Bay with sun-loungers and water sports available. There is also an excellent beach bar and restaurant. A well stocked 24 hour mini mart is situated at the Texaco filling station a few paces past the beach entrance, towards Speightstown, for your emergency shopping requirements. Supermarkets Banks etc. are to be found in both historic Speightstown to the north and Holetown to the south. The local buses pass by the beach in both directions very regularly, making travel around the island both easy and inexpensive. However, we strongly recommend hiring a car for the duration for ease of mobility especially if you aim to eat out in the evenings or want to explore the island. There are several companies to choose from offering competitive rates, - We recommend Chelsea Motors, a small firm who are very competitive and helpful. Their direct email address is chelseamotors@caribsurf.com and mention that you have booked with a recommendation from Palm Tree Villa, Mullins and they should give you a discount. Ask for Janet or Lorraine. They will deliver the car to the airport or to the villa free on request and you can even drop it off at the airport as you fly home if you wish! We suggest you book well in advance, especially in high season. Drive on the left as UK!
